Marcus Williams is the head coach of the Power Tumbling program at Royal Academy of Dance.
Starting his tumbling career through his high school gymnastics team, Marcus has come a long way since then. Marcus has been coaching since 2014 and has loved it ever since. Alongside with being a beginner coach, he joined an All-Star Cheer Team for 1 year and had the amazing opportunity to compete at Worlds in Walt Disney World in 2015.
Marcus got the opportunity to watch the Jesse White Tumblers perform for his town and instantly knew that he wanted to work hard to be like them. In 2016 Marcus got the chance to show the team his skills and was then signed on to be a Jesse White Tumbler. Being a tumbler has given him many opporunities in the past to travel around the country to perform. But now he mainly performs in the Chicagoland area while also being a full time coach.
Along with him learning new skills along the way while coaching others, he believes there is never an “end” to gaining new skills. Having personal experience with starting power tumbling/gymnastics late in life, he believes there is certainly no age limit to achieve what you want.
